Lime putty consistency can be adjusted using this instrument. A 50 mm. I.D. metal cylinder is mounted on a wooden platform. A close fitting piston moves up and down without turning in this cylinder. Working stroke is 65 mm. A metal bridge is provided to measure degree to which ejected putty out of cylinder has slumped. As per IS:6932 (Part - 6)

The slotted tube-sampler will be between 1.5 to 1.8 meter long and about 35 mm in outside diameter and will consist of two polished brass telescopic tubes with registering slots which are opened or closed by rotation of the inner tube; the outer tube being provided with a sharp point to facilitate penetration. Extremely useful for sampling from Bulk Cement and fly ash ponds.

This cone is used to find out viscosity of slurry and like material. The marsh cone is 6 inch(150 mm) in diameter at the top and 12 inch(300 mm) long, and tapers to join a tube 2 inch long and 5 mm inside dia. The capacity of the funnel is 2000 cc. the top of the cone has a screen with 1.5 mm opening for screening out lumps. Time in seconds required to flow out 1000 cc of slurry from cone is measured as funnel viscosity of the material.

The flow cone apparatus is used to determine the fluidity and workability of grout, particularly for prestressing ducts in post-tensioned structures. The test measures the time required for a specified volume of grout to flow through an orifice of a standardized cone. The measured flow time helps assess the consistency and suitability of the grout for application. Made of Stainless Steel 304.
