Applications:
Scuff tester is intended to evaluate the Rub Proof-ness of prints on paper or board. It can also be used to measure / evaluate Colour Transfer from printed / coated surface during rubbing. The application can be extended for measurement of abrasion resistance of some Plastic materials / Aluminum Foils.
Operating Principle:
In this machine, 2 samples of the same substrate are rubbed against each other in the same plane, under a constant pressure of 2 PSI and at a fixed speed of 60 RPM. The number of rubs are recorded using a non-contact type digital counter.
Salient Features:
- Works as a great comparative of the variations in print quality between various batches or various suppliers
- Higher Rub Resistance = better print quality.
- Lower Rub Resistance = Poor print quality.
- The highest degree of parallelism of disc samples
- Accurate R.P.M. of rotating disks assured by High torque Step Synchronous motors
- Very Low power consumption (Less than 100w).
- No Gearbox. Hence, No Maintenance.
- Compact but Sturdy Design.
- Latest benchtop model with push button controls
- Noiseâfree scuff blower
- Nonâcontact type digital counter
- Digital display of rubs
- Auto â stop facility at user â defined counts
