A supply of clean, hard siliceous sand, graded within the, following limits; about 2-5 kg will be required for each test run:
Passing IS Sieve Percentage by Weight
- 425-micron 100
- 300-micron 85-100
- 212-micron 20-50
- 150-micron 0-5
A supply of air-floated emery powder, 100 percent finer than 0-06 mm and not less than 70 percent finer than 0-002 mm; about 350 g will be required for each test run.
